  • 2024 Sticky Rice Green Tea from Myanmar

Our Sticky Rice Green Tea from Myanmar is one of the most recent batch of Myanmar teas that we fell in love with.  It is crisp and savory with the aromatics of the sticky rice herb perfectly blended with a clean, light green tea.  Locally the herb is called Kauk Nyin Mhwe Ywet, but you may have heard of the sticky rice herb for Chinese teas, in which case it's called Nuo Mi Xiang.   The sticky rice herb has a long history of being blended with tea and is frequently used to aid in digestion and soothe the stomach.

There is no actual rice used in the production of this tea.  The rice aroma comes only from the natural scent of the herb.

Ingredients: green tea, sticky rice herb (Semnostachya Menglaensis)
