Commemorating Sen no Rikyū's profound influence on chanoyu, Soumei no Mukashi matcha by Kanbayashi Shunsho has earned distinguished recognition as a favorite of Hōunsai, the 15th-generation grand tea master of Urasenke. This is a versatile tea that makes an excellent usucha or koicha. We get an overall sweet effect with delectable creamy, custardy notes of vanilla paired with a rich vegetal and umami backdrop and dark chocolate intensity.
Choose between a 20 gram can or 40 gram box. A typical serving for usucha is 2 grams, while a typical serving for koicha is 4 grams.
