Organic Sencha from Nearai Shizuoka, Shizu 7132

This single cultivar organic sencha is an intriguing and somewhat rare green tea from Nearai, Shizuoka. Crafted by tea maker Mr. Tarui, this fukamushi (deep-steamed) sencha features pure Shizu 7132, a refreshing and unique cultivar established in the 1960s from Yabukita seeds.

The tea offers a light, billowy mouthfeel with a delightful balance of sweetness and a medium umami. Its signature Shizu 7132 aromatics evoke Japanese cherry blossom leaf (sakura) and pastry.
