Low Caffeine Matcha by Marukyu Koyamaen
A specially formulated low caffeine matcha from Marukyu Koyamaen. Using only fresh water to extract up to 80% of the caffeine, the tea leaves are then freeze dried and stone milled. With their innovative technique, the matcha still retains most of its theanine, amino acids, and epigallocatechin gallate.
Marukyu Koyamaen, founded in 1704, is an award-winning producer of Uji matcha, recognized at the Annual National Tea Competition and with the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award.
A typical serving uses 2 grams for usucha (thin matcha) and 4 grams for koicha (thick matcha).
