2022 Latumoni Assam Tippy Black from India
Latumoni is a very small family run tea garden in Tingkhong, Upper Assam (northeast India) specializing in high quality, whole leaf black teas. All of their tea is handpicked and grown without pesticides or agrochemicals. This offering is a first flush Assam which tend to be a bit lighter than second flushes so they really don't require milk but can take it if you feel like it.
Tasting notes reveal a good depth to the tea with a nice sweet, full body. There is a hint of smoke and wood with rich and compelling fruitiness. It's really quite lovely.
