  • Koshun Japanese Black Tea from Ashikita

This Japanese black tea made from the Koshun cultivar (also spelled Koushun) is truly phenomenal. Incredibly rich notes of sweet ripe berries and apricots, with a strength that matches that juicy, fruity quality. There is a slight creamy, herbal quality on the nose that we cannot get enough of. This is truly a well-crafted tea and another example of why we love Japanese black tea so much.

Made by Mr. Kajihara, a third-generation tea farmer in Tsuge Village, Ashikita area, Kumamoto Prefecture. He does not use pesticides or fungicides and makes minimal use of fertilizer.
