Kakurei Sencha from Sayama
The Kakurei Sencha, crafted by the Morita Tea Garden in the Sayama area, offers a crisp and vibrant profile with balanced umami and sweetness. This bold tea shows well in cooler water, resulting in a rich, vibrant cup. Using a little hotter water will yield more structure and crispness. It was shaded for approximately 10 days and fukamushi steamed to enhance umami, sweetness, and color.
2024 spring harvest, blend of cultivars.
