2011 Xiaguan FT Nanzhao Jin Ya Raw Puerh Tuo
This 2011 Xiaguan FT Nanzhao Raw Puerh production is kind of a no-brainer to add to your collection or puerh rotation. The dry leaves are a dark olive green and frankly a bit choppy, but the notes of plum on the nose hint at the sweetness to come in the infusion. Once steeped, the tea is smooth and rather sweet (a bit out of character for a Xiaguan tea). Some woody strength comes in during the middle steeps along with that persistent sweetness that brings to mind dark sugars and fruits. An excellent tea for the price.
Naturally stored in Taiwan, each tuo weighs 200 grams.
